ABOUT ME
I’m Marvin Machler, a Berlin-based photographer focused on music, sports, lifestyle and social-documentary photography. Hunting for the extraordinary in the middle of the everyday rush, I’m inspired by urban culture, skateboarding, basketball, concerts and the rhythm of the city.
Over the years, I’ve worked with brands, festivals, artists and creative communities including Neulich Bier, Blue Tomato, Activision, CSD Berlin, Skatehalle Berlin, Wellenwerk, Rausgegangen Berlin and several artists, labels and cultural projects. My approach combines authentic storytelling with a recognizable visual language, whether it’s a portrait, concert, campaign shoot or the atmosphere of a community event.
Beyond client work, I’m one of the founders of Filmriss Photoclub, a photography community that started as a small photowalk in Berlin and has grown into one of the city’s most active photography collectives. Through photowalks, workshops, meet-ups and art markets, we bring together photographers of all backgrounds, analog or digital, beginner or professional, to connect, learn and create together.
Photography for me is not just about aesthetics. It’s about movement, people, subcultures, emotion and creating images that make you feel like you were actually there. Always chasing timeless frames.
